I have been picking up a few Franklin's lately cause the price seems to be rising fast for some reason.I can't even begin to guess where this would grade.I know its a Proof but how high?

I can't tell if there is lint or if they are hits or scratches, etc. If I had to place a grade on it and consider the above as lint then I would say PF-69. It is a really nice looking proof. If it isn't lint then I may have to change my grade a point or two.

The seller said PF69 also but I always take what sellers say with a grain of salt. but its good to hear you give the same. Whats with Franklins lately, they have been rocketing.

I think it has alot to do with supply and demand. For quite a few of the years there weren't really that many minted if you think about it and nobody really knows how many were melted down in the 80's. As I am getting close to completing my MS-63+ set (only 7 more to go and they are the toughest ones) I am finding it hard to win an auction for anything less than $40 and I know when I get down to the last 2 or 3 they will be upwards of $80 and more. Lots of people going after the Franklins these days. Everybody better get them while they can.

Nice Franklin. I too noticed that price have increased for Franklins. They're been sleepers for a while now, prices were low and the talk has been that lot of collectors are starting to put Franklin sets together. Demand has increased.

I don't know how to grade it, but that might be the prettiest non-cameo proof Franklin I've seen. Puts my sorry specimens to shame.

Don't just take my word for it, but I think a couple shots with that anti-dust air-in-a-can stuff would get the lint off. Definitely don't blow on it, as you could spray it with spittle.
