I received an email from the RCM on Monday stating that 60% of the mintage of the 2012 Fine Silver Proof Set is already sold (i.e., over 12,000 of the 20,000 sets are sold).

Those are fairly strong numbers after just a month of sales, it looks like that despite the $224.95 cost, the set is on its way to being a sell-out.

That's crazy. That set is so expensive for just 60g of silver its not even funny.

too expensive for me. But for those who can afford it, sure. yes it's an all silver set but still.

I was gonna start collecting the DD sets (and work back to my birthdate) but after seeing the increase in price this year I my just but the speciman sets. Even though I wold really like the penny from this set for my collection :).

I have all the DD sets so what do I do now? Too late have to shell out the money just hope it doesn't keep going this way every year.
