Oh Man! I like it, I would say its at least a AU-50 and may be better than that I just have a hard time grading these but I would definately buy it if I had the chance

Bryan, I bought it

The scratches are actually on the holder, not the coin. The yellowish is my lighting, it has original color apart from the toning along the rim.

Its graded by NGC, do you want to know the grade now or does others want to take a guess too? Its actually graded higher than both of your guesses.

I would just wait until some others guessed before I revealed the grade but like I said I wouldn't be surprised if it was higher than my grading because I am not worth a hoot at grading these things and this coin is a beauty. I was actually going to say it was MS but was kind of scared to for the simple fact that I am not good at grading them but as I said before I would have bought it if I had the chance

There's no way I'll ever be convinced that is an uncirculated coin. I don't think I'd give it EF40. The reverse leaf detail is gone, the hair and cap detail are gone. That coin is circulated, or struck from a die so worn that the lettering should not be readable.

I did notice the details of the leaves but thought maybe a weak strike. I've seen this type of hair and head details in other coins with similar grades. I'll try to look them up so we can compare.

I'm the first to admit Seated coinage is not my strong suit, and of course, in-hand everything could change very quickly. If it's MS, though, its a heckuva weak strike.

This is another that's graded MS62, its on ebay. I think it has less details than mine.

I thought the luster and parts of the obverse looked MS but the top of the wreath on the reverse did not.So I was having a hard time with it. They must have had some weak strikes in this type also. Its a beauty though.

XF45 is my guess. Nice looking coin, but I think cleaned at some time.
