Here are a couple Cuds and a possible buffalo and penny Mule.
I have had the mule for a long time wondering what it was. It looked to me like someone was trying to maybe solder them together or something. Is that how they usually look? It also looks like there are three layers. I know that I should not have, but, a while back I took my knife and scraped the copper side to see if there was any identifiable marks. Couldn't see any.
My questions are,
1. Is it a mule?
2. I really need a good camera and I was wondering, not asking a price or value, but, should I just keep these coins as a curiosity or are they valuable enough to go through whatever you have to do to sell them and sell them so I can get a good camera for coins?
Any advice is appreciated.

That nickel Cud is epic.

The buffalo not a mule - it looks like some kind of button backing.

Those are some impressive Cuds! Did you find them in change or roll searching?

And the Buffalo looks like it was glued to the back of some metal thing to use it as some type of jewelry.

The quarter, I just found in a roll of mixed quarters. While I was going through it I noticed all the good date State Quarters were missing. I was hoping whoever did it was more interested in the new ones than the old ones. Sure enough, while looking through them I found it and a couple interesting semi-collectible old quarters, nothing valuable that I know of, just interesting.
The nickel I have had for many years mixed in with other stuff I was trying to keep. Thought I had lost it a couple times. Finally put it in a folder and trying to do justice to it and some other old coins I have that I got from my dad when he was a Merchant Seaman back in WWII.
The mule? I have had, I guess 10 or so years, not as long as the nickel. I just laid a penny on top and it is the same o/d as what the center looks to be. The second and third layer looks to be the same total thickness overall as a single penny. The top diameter is just smaller than a current dime. So I think it is just a nickel and a penny, that's all. I think I remember getting it in some change from a purchase many years ago. Guess I need to measure the top diameter accurately and see what it might match up with.

The Cuds are great. I bet the Buffalo was made into a necklace or a key chain and has been removed from its setting.

Check the entire surface of the buffalo side of your last piece for a hole. Almost willing to bet it's a squirting nickel gag trick. What is absolutely certain - the mint didn't make that coin like that.

No squirting hole.
I have been looking on the web for something close to it and have found nothing so far.
Seems to me, if it's a prank coin (good possibility it is), there would have been more of them made.
Still searching for something like it.
Read about some employees at the mint getting in trouble for doing some strange stuff.
Who knows, am hard-headed and not ready to throw in the towel... yet...
Visions of granduer? on the coin? :)
