Have this Quarter, it has these marks on both sides, maybe someone has seen the likes of it or can tell me what causes it or caused it. Thanks.

I haven't seen anything like it. Did you get the coin out of circulation or some other way? If it is the former, it is probably post mint damage.

there is a thread here somewhere with very similiar 'marks' on plated coins.

i believe the final analysis was that is was a plating issue and didn't add any real value to the coin as a "mint error"

I believe it is a result of the coin not being cleaned properly. The canadian 10 cent Volunteer coin is famous for this.

I've seen many of these coins in cirulation. Looks like a common issue.
