Seems a little dull considering the grade but I suspect that the coin's mint lustre just isn't visible in the photo. Here's the Blue Sheet page on the 1927 3d: http://www.bluesheet.com.au/Austral..._V/1927_(MS)

The photos aren't great but it looks like a nice coin. It has a lot of toning but that's better than being cleaned like many ebay coins are.

Book value of an UNC 1927 Threepence is $400

The toning looks quite ugly to me. Agree that its better than being cleaned but even so.. if it goes cheap it might be a good pickup.

i have to wonder why he said this
"Personally I prefer NGC holder, and has always love NGC holder for years. NGC graded coins will be my preference for my future collecting focus."

it could be sardines or steak but it sure smells strange with that comment

I copied the picture and some others from Blue sheet, Museum and Sterling, do you think the 7 is different from the others.
The ebay pic is a little hazy but the 7 looks straight all the way to the base, where as the other pics show the 7 blobbing out at the base.

I contacted the seller and asked for a sharper pic of the date, with 5 days to go, the seller should be able to do this.

It's just too difficult to tell with an out of focus picture.

I hope the seller comes up with a nice crisp piccie for you.

Thanks for your interest in my listing.

This is genuine NGC graded coin.

Personally I quite like the toning. The reverse is sharp and beautiful. Obverse is weak. It is a nice coin in hand.

Hahahah. Thanks for letting me know how you feel.

NGC is so much unloved in Australia. Personally I like them. They have done many good things you only hope PCGS follows.

1. Their new holder is solid and they keep upgrading their holder. That makes it difficult for counterfeiter. Can't say the same for PCGS.

2. They have photograph for every graded coin in their website, that you can check. While some are not clear, but it is still better than not have one. PCGS only add this feature for the Secure Plus holder.

3. ...

It looks ok to me AC. I think it is just the lighting in the photos
