hi everyone I'm a collector from New Zealand I mainly collect NZ coins but h have a 1951 Canadian 5 cent with a DOT on king George's neck the coin is in EF grade and I'm very tough on grades my question is does anyone know the value of this error coin in this grade ple ASE
Dot on the King's neck adds no value Is it beaver,or commemorative reverse? Unless it's the rare beaver reverse high relief obverse variety,or the beaver reverse with no chrome plating it's worth about $1
If it's the big dot on the middle of back of the neck on a commemorative 5 cents, then it's probably the variety identified as B182c in Zoell's 1965 minor coin varieties part 2. If so, in the 60s Zoell ranged the value for this error from 75ยข for FINE condition to 2$ for uncirculated. If that's the coin, then it's probably worth something more like 5$.
