The 1941 doesn't looked cleaned I see some questionable marks on the face, maybe from an old slide album or a wipe? Looks like great luster is still present on it MS65
The 1943 looks like it may have had a dip in tarnish remover some time ago, but is re-toning nicely, a few more marks on this coin I'd go MS62

I agree with westcoin. I'd put the 41-S at MS64-65 and the 43-D at MS62-63. The 43-D does look lightly cleaned.

The 43 looks cleaned, which means no to the MS, doesn't it? If I'm buying, I'd call them both AU due to the marks. Nice reverse on the small-s '41.

I am thinking a MS-63+ on the 41-S due to the hairlines across the face and a MS-62+ on the 43-D.

I'm new to grading but I'm gonna give it a shot. How about Au 58 due to the reverese eagles breast and on the obverse, lack of definition on his hair?

I think the 41-S was in an older wyatt Ramond type holder that used the plastic sldes, that causes the hairline scratches on the face in high points. Too a coin being dipped as cleaned not to the TPG's that is not circulation, in fact I have it on very good authority that the top TPG's dipped coins for certain clients if asked, don't know if that is still a practice, but a top client were talking about $10k/month in grading fees or more, so they want to keep the business. This told to me was over 10 years ago, from a very reputable source, someone that worked inside at least 3 TPG companies.

The hairlines on the 41-S do not appear to transfer to the fields but rather are on the high point of the coin, the cheek. Therefore I agree with the opinion that the hairlines are consistent with those caused by sliding a plastic insert in and out of an album.
They both look MS to me

The 43 looks AU or circulated.
