when I have stuff to sell?

A lady called, she had a 1901 quarter eagle and a 1915 half eagle.

I like to cut to the chase, so I asked her what she wanted for them.

Hold on to your seat.

$500 each.

The kicker? One of the gold buyers suggested she call us! Prolly easier than trying to live in her fantasy world.

Did you bring her back down to earth? Or leave her floating?

Newsmistmatist: You ain't wrong there!

I have even negotiated my meals that way in the Middle East. As a buyer, I just set up a mental firewall before the start of the negotiation.
