My guess is yes, but you were willing to pay that amount anyway, and if the seller is correct, you will come out ahead. That and the fact that it will piss the seller off is reason enough to complete the purchase IMO.

I agree, let him pay the fees. Hit them where it hurts. Guy should be thrown off ebay actually.

I agree he should be stuck with the fees. However, based on his character I'd be concerned about what he would send me at this point. Plus, at this point I don't want to do business with him. Also, I'm a little concerned over a transaction with him earlier in the day. When I ran the tracking number he game me for that package it showed no activity. When I contacted him today he gave me another tracking number. When I tracked that number it showed something that was mailed from him yesterday and "out for delivery" to his town today (probably to himself). I'm waiting to hear what he has to say about that. I'm afraid he's holding this previous transaction as some kind of leverage. But then again, maybe I'm thinking too much.

As long as you paid via Paypal, I wouldn't worry too much about it. Plus, all of the email traffic between the two of you sounds like it is on your side. If you don't receive anything, you get your money back. If item is not correct or messed up due to the seller, you get your money back.

Yes. You should be protected under the buyer protection.

Thanks for the advice folks. I'll just let ebay sort it out and at the least let him have to pay the fees for cancelling.

Is the seller qualitypreciousmetals1? If so, he is a Top Rated Seller and will probably go through with the sale rather than risk the policy violation or anything that will take away that 20% discount on final fees. As everyone has stated, you will be well protected since you paid through Paypal. It would be quite foolish not to complete this sale for a difference of $30.

well at least he does not cost $200.00 for Standard Shipping...like this guy.
His coins have about $100 melt value, so you could get them for free and still lose half your $$$

I wouldn't do business with that seller either, your best to take your good business elsewhere
