So I collected almost all of my State Quarters from circulation, and well they just didn't look that great in my dansco. I figured I should get great looking ones for the great looking album. I found a seller Who sold me the 100 coin P & D set for only $35 shipped. That's 35 cents a coin with free shipping. Well the coins arrived today and look awesome. It's not that big of a deal, but I didn't know I could get this set so cheap... Not to mention, I now have 3 more quarter tubes for free as well. Not sure how this guy is making any money on these. That sounds like a good deal. I too have recent;y completed my Statehood Quarter set from circulation. I am happy with the looks of my set, but it I ever found the complete set for $35, I would probably spring for it as well.

I have a hard time justifying my apathy about State Quarters when a set is that cheap. That's not even that much more than the Dansco to hold them. On the other hand, if they're that cheap, and with everybody and their grandmother saving them, are they ever going to be worth anything?

I don't think the State Quarters will appreciate much in value but they are fun to collect and a really inexpensive way to get started in the hobby.

Well when you collect washingtons from 1932 and on, the State Quarters need to be collected as well. And I think they look nice. And I mailed a seller on ebay and he said I can send him $35 through paypal for the quarters. Couldn't pass it up

I am collecting a couple of sets of Statehood Quarters and national parks. I don't ever expect them to have any real value, but I am planning on giving the extra sets to my children in a few years to maybe get them interested in the hobby. Their sets are only going in Whitman folders, so the overall cost is cheap. About the worst that can happen is for them to feign an interest, and then I later find out that they took the $25 worth of quarters and spent it on a movie and popcorn.

Not in our life times but remember that at one time in the past many things that we see as massively valuable were almost sold for pennies. As recent as 1957 Chevy cars were one of the most massively produced cars around. And they sold for less than $3.000 fully equipped. Today one in great condition would go for about $70,000. Who would have thought? Imagine those dumb Indian Head Pennies being minted by the Millions. Who would have thought they would ever be worth anything? As to those State Quarters only time will tell.

good point just carl. almost all coins were just worth face value at one point. May take a hundred years, but hey, I'm not collecting to get rich. I'm collecting coins I like. I enjoy the designs of state and ATB Quarters, and I'm trying to collect all Washington quarters from 1932 to date.

Who would have thought? True but what would they have been worth today if 25% of them were bought and garaged from 1957 to today?

While I agree with you personally and technically (you did say "from 1932 and on"), it is not necessary. One could stop at 1998 and be happy. How they could be happy, I do not know, but they could. Yes, I am being picky.

Yeah jbuck. One could easily stop at 1998. But I happen to like all of the new designs :)
and stud722, the seller was coinstampguy. I emailed him asking for a certain price for the quarters.
