All American Coin on College Parkway is basically the only one I've found. It's OK. There are some other coin-and-jewelry type places, but it seems mostly like they're about bullion. There are pawn shops around too.

There's a office building called "The Atrium" on the corner of Winkler and College. If you go in through the back entrance (the one furthest from College) there is a little post office. The coin shop is inside the post office.

If you're a roll hunter, Fort Myers is a good spot for hunting nickels. We have lots of 2009-P and the 2004-P DDO.

Come up north a little bit to Port Charlotte and you have Classic Coins, just past Midway on 41 next to the gun shop.
You also have Herbs Coin Shop by Peace River Regional Hospital and North Port Coins in North Port. Out of all the three, Herbs is good for selling, Classic Coins has a nice mixture of everything and North Port Coins has everything you would ever want. Hell, these guys gave my wife and me a bottle of Wine and Whiskey for Christmas. No other coin shop would have done that and they know you by name when you come in.
