We are aware of how expensive research materials and books can be. As a result, multiple reference books will be available at the booth, along with our help on reference websites, for attribution help for Half Cents, large cents, bust halves, Morgan and Peace dollars, fractional gold, and others.

We will have the Krause books (both coin and paper money) available for members who want help with identification. We will also have a connection to Numismaster. The Seaby books for England, Ireland, and Scotland will also be available.

If any of you can think of a series that you would want some help with or a book available for use, please post it here and we will do what we can to provide it.

One way or the other, I should be able to competently address Bust Half and Morgan varieties, to the extent that VAMs can be identified.

Although a smaller collector base, I can bring my reference material on Colonials, as well as help anyone who seeks attribution or guidance ;-)

Absolutely. That'll let us cover pretty much the whole gamut of pre-20th Century US coinage.

Edit: I think we still need references for Early silver.

I'm pretty sure I have attribution books for early dollars, Walkers, pre-1965 Washington quarters, Standing Liberty quarters, Buffalo nickels, Liberty nickels, and maybe some Barber coinage. I am in New Jersey until Wednesday so I'll need to check to be sure when I get home.

I also have a couple of books on Confederate notes that I can bring.

I think I also have the books for 2 and 3 cent coins.

I can bring a copy of Breens encyclopedia along with several 2 cent reference books if that will help.

you would want some help with or a book available for use

Hello,

I just uncovered a 1/2" stack of old (1900 - 1935) Chinese and Japanese currency at a yard sale and now an older woman now wants me to identify, price, and put them up on ebay for sale.

I spent much time over the last few days attempting to identify and price them but came up short.

Several obstacles appeared, however, when the remaining unidentified notes(approx. a 1/4" stack) contained only Chinese and/or Japanese verbiage without any helpful identifying English on the other side.

If a Krause-type book etc. along with someone knowledgeable with the Chinese and/or Japanese languages could be available to assist me with the identification, authentication, and pricing of these notes, that would be unbelievably helpful.

I should be around the CCF booth beginning either Thursday PM, 8/9 or Friday, 8/10.

If possible, please let me know what the available options are.

Thanks,
mdpmedia
