Hi everyone, I'm gonna be honest with you, I don't know "coin language", I'm just learning so I need your help! I know this appears to have a triple stick on the 2, which makes it look like a 3 in a photo. It also looks like there's a break in the 'S' in States. Help me out here, please!

I blew the image up as much as I could but I don't see anything other than the normal 2 for this year.

Thanks for your input! The thing that looks strange to me is to the left of the shield & also can you tell me what the mark is on the left side of the D in Dime? I have some more pictures I'll upload that may help....just looks funny to me. I saw on another website that there are several varieties of this year that I think have been slabbed & graded....of course, it doesn't have those in the Red Book! I'll try to post the other photos a little later this afternoon but thanks again for your help! I also have a 2 cent piece I'd like for you to look at....those things are hard to tell whether it's a Small Motto or Large Motto.

I finally had time to get some more pics uploaded! It may be nothing more than a feeling & I've been wrong before! I bought my 2 yr. old grandson 2 coin collecting books for Christmas, hoping to get him a good collection going & with any luck, make him into a collector himself! I'm starting another post, need info on another coin...gotta make sure Nana is right! Thanks for your observations & help!

This coin is also a Breen Variety Type II, meaning there are 6 horizontal lines above the 'Liberty' ribbon. Type I is when only 5 horizontal lines are visible above the ribbon. Nice coin

Thanks, FlipOfACoin! I also wondered about the line that's under the 'AM' in America & on the REV to the left of the D in dime. It just looks like the marks are from more than just circulation to me...but, I'm not a professional, I just like finding errors or varieties of different coins. At any rate, thanks for your words of wisdom!

Also something around the 'U' & when you enlarge the photo, between the right leg & the 'CA' on America. Thanks for taking time to look at it!
