Hi all,

I know there is a separate sub-forum for introductions, but I thought I'd run in here since I specifically joined for the Canada section.

I started CRH about 2 weeks ago after my interest in coins was reignited due to the latest "20 for 20" issuance.

Am starting on my first box of dimes and through 10 rolls, I found myself a nice little 1953 silver dime!

I'm sure more boxes, and hopefully more finds will follow. I think the girlfriend thinks I've gone a little crazy..but that's okay.

Cheers,

Andrew

As happy as my wife is that I've taken an interest in something, I think that she thinks I'm a bit crazy as well.

I've found a lot of neat coins but no silver yet. I'll keep checking rolls, and I'm sure that I will find some soon enough.

BTW

I ♥ silver !

I bought a pound of foreign junk, guess the pickers missed a little six pence ($1.60 in silver). I was so excited fpr some silly reason (never been that excited about finding a twoonie on the ground). can't imagine what would happen if I found gold !

I must be very lucky and see way too many coins in a week because I am finding one silver dime or quarter every week or so. Still get excited especially if it fills in a date in a folder. Not crazy if you like it.

Never found any silver in change although I twice saw silver dimes sitting in the collection boxes at Tim Horton's!

I did get lucky at one of the local coin shops here in Sydney, for some reason they had a 1966 quarter sitting in their 3 for a dollar box. Maybe they thought Canada dropped silver coins the same time as the US!
