The Mint Cancelled My Order - Coin Community Forum

TSmith3510 Valued Member United States 455 Posts	Posted 01/26/2007 9:04 pm I was on the mint's website last night and noticed the 2007 silver State Quarter proof sets. I ordered a set, then bought 2 of the 10 piece silver sets as well. I was in a spending mood so I added a quarter ounce 2006 proof AGE. I was pleased with my purchases and looking forward to getting my coins. Then I was reading here that the Presidential dollars will be included in the 2007 sets. That's when I realized I ordered the 2006 sets thinking they were 2007. I wasn't about to cancel the order and create a customer service nightmare so I decided I'd keep the sets, just be more careful going forward. I was kicking myself though. Anyway, I just opened an email, "Greetings from the United States Mint.." They cancelled my order and referred me to their FAQ page if I have any questions (are they kidding?). I think the problem was my shipping address was different than my billing address. How's that for luck? Report this Post to the Staff

I may go back in and get the 2007 proof quarters, or maybe I'll just wait till the other sets are offered and get everything all at once. The mint is going to get a fair amount of money from me this year. I doubt I'll be able to resist the AGE proof set or the Buffalo fractional pieces. TS Report this Post to the Staff
