I ordered a roll a few days ago, knowing that last year's sold out quickly. If it sells out even faster, I think there might be a significant premium on the secondary market because some people have been collecting these for years and so they just have to continue their collection.

Assuming it's sold out, I hate when the RCM decides to bump up the mintage for the following year. Hope not. 2012 mintage is 10,000, but last year's was just 5000?

Coincollect1, you better order the 1812 soon or that might sell out as well.

Tried to order some from GateWest today. They said they were not in stock yet but they will be. I hope they don't put the premium up too high.

Here's a question for all those who bought a roll. What do you do with it? Do you collect 50 cent rolls and will never open it? Or do you plan on opening the roll, and if so, what do you do with all those 50 cent coins you now have?

I personally just starting a 50c piece collection (with this roll and a few single I already had). I buy rolls for what I can for the sole fact that I like to pick out the coin for my collection (rathering then just buying a high grade example at a premium... I currently do this for pennys and have most rolls from 1953-Date... only missing about 10 I think). Also I like to have spares for possible others sets (for friends/family) I might want to gift and such. With rolls I always try to sell enough to pay for the roll so that the coins I pull are basicly free. It usually works out that if I sell half a roll I make back my money... which then I use to by more coins, its a vicious cycle of addiction.
