Hi there. The 1994 reverse shown below appears to be the result of an over-polished die. There are many details missing, including the areas around the front paws, the head of the beaver, and the top of the log. I've never seen this much detail missing. The obverse is normal.

I just thought I'd pass this along as information as I couldn't find a similar post featuring this year. If something else may have caused this please let me know!

The third photograph is a normal reverse for comparison.

Edit: grammar

Hi staircase

I am no expert, but it looks like some one added liquid metal after production...It has all the characteristics of a liquid metal poured on it after the fact.

But remember...I am no expert

I would think it is either grease filled or over polished die.

Definitely "over polishing" of the die(s)
I too have a number of these.
From 1937 to 2010.
There is a different degree to the amount of polishing done "on or around"the beaver.
This is one of my favourite finds.
