Hi Everyone! I went through kfc drive through and the cashier handed me a quarter! The quarter is missing the last two dates on the year but on the back it is stamped deep with a perfect 7. Is this worth anything other then 25cents? I don't know anything about this and was curious if someone had any idea of what happened to this coin during making. on the back of quarter were it says united states of america the s and of are stamped with perfect 7. I guess you can kinda tell there maybe a 196..but of course the 7 is on wrong side. Thanks

The photo is too blurry to really see anything, but it looks like some copper is showing, so the coin was punctured?

If the 7 is stamped into the coin, it is PMD (Post Mint Damage) and not worth anything more than a quarter.

And on the obverse, that is a Grease Filled Die, unless it is severely worn?

Thanks for posting the clear pictures. Someone took a metal stamp and gave it a good punch. Not worth anything more than a quarter.
