I've looked at as many references as I could find, and I'm pretty sure this is a Large Date 1970 S, but I wanted to post it here just for confirmation and some fresh eyes.

This subject is posted very frequently. Look it up in the archives and after looking at enough pictures, you'll pretty instantly recognize the LD.

This topic does pop up more often then most, I researched this very dated coin and while at 1st things might get problematic, where the pup's are very varying, try this, IF the ends of the 9 are both pointed, it is no question, a SMALL Date coin, IF the top looped End of the 9 is blunt, flat or just NOT pointed, it is no question a Large Date coin. I need to get a loupe one of these days so that I can make a positive ID on the 1970 S's that I've got horded.
That or make that a variety I don't care about.
