(This the history of the coin for the ones that wanted to know) the coin hasn't been look at by anyone only family members ... my pop who is no longer here found the coin at the Kerrigan Hotel when it pulled down in a town called Zeehan on the states west coast of Tasmania in the early days 1940s, it was then given to my father who also had it but only had it in storage and now I have got it and I haven't tamped with it or tried to cleaned the coin left it as is but when you look at the coin you can see it is damage and got corrosion from back in the days when this hotel was pulled down ... hope this information I gave out gives you some idea how it came in my hands and the history about it ....

Even if it were real it is so green who would want it. I would rather spend my $6000 on a nice 1925 or real nice 1946.

Date altered to the masses. I have many date altered 30's with much nicer & smaller 0's than that.
What a knob. If anyone is lucky enough to have a 1930 Penny why would it not have been looked at or graded by a coin dealer? Too many idiot's in the world.

"total tried to add charges after the auction BEWARE of this KID Buyer:"

Mmm, 6.5K I think not. Also after the comment about the 0 in the 1930 I looked back and it does look suss. I love this site for learning :-) ...maybe I will learn the iconmations soon!

Me to seller:

Dear ricki7320,

Quote:
Unfortuantely what you have here is certainly an altered date fake. The zero if not even close to what it should like like. Sorry but not real.

Sorry if you think that, had a person look at it today and he offer me $8,000 but I told him wait till Auction finish ... he weighted it and had a ruler see if things lined up with a eye light ... just like let you know it is not fake if he offer me that price ...

If he did infact get an offer of that he would be mad not to take it

I got this response from him:

If you look far enough back, he got $2175 for a fake 1922/21 threepence.

Reminds me of this:
1930-Penny-On-Ebay

A description that reeks of insincerity, I remember thinking, nobody will be stupid enough to believe that, sadly I was wrong.

I am not being racist in anyway whatsoever but the wording in the sellers reply just reeks of Asia.
And the answer just seems to me to be a load of old cobblers.
Now where the heck is my .243 this seller need a bullet

Whilst it is easy to make that conclusion trout I am appalled by some of the crap young people write. Whilst I'm far from an expert writer some have no grasp of the English language what so ever. It could just be a young seller who is either dumb, ignorant and/or a plain and simple "insert profanity of your choosing".
