You get lots of ideas on how to make fake mint errors from ebay. If you want to blacken your own name, emulate some of these low lifes.

They certainly give ebay a bad name.

Yes it is amazing some of the ideas they come up with, This one was a new innovation I think.
I have been known to emulate "errors" and after a couple of moments thinking I can come up with the same error in seconds.
I do these purely to prove that they can be done and destroy the coin afterwards.
I have no interest in error coins as a whole and prefer to have perfect or as near to perfect coins in my collection.

It's funny how these "errors" only occur on low quality, non valuable coins......hmm amazing. Suddenly they become valuable. Lucky!

"could be a minting error . I don't know, this is how I found it. Not being an expert I would say it is a minting error.".

Nicely worded, basically I'm not an expert but this is a mint error!

vendor with zero previous. $50 start.
But, a well composed escape-clause:
"1951 australian penny with unusual marks imprinted in both sides, could be a minting error.
I don't know, this is how I found it.
not being an expert I would say it is a minting error."
and the clincher -
"if you dont think it is [then] dont bid."
it's great to see that he got no bids.

And he now should have no excuse for the "do not know' get-out.
He has just received this message from an eBayer... "Dear ray561,
Hi Ray,
This is PMD. If you want to know what that means see

cheers

And Trout, enworbe; get your sheds going so you are ready for the rush for this unusual error. Better still, create a unique error.

Ended with no bidders, so perhaps there's hope for the hobby after all.

life is a mystery to be lived not a problem to be solved
