there are a few threads about it. My connection right now, is going through work's firewall, so its strange at times anyway. Never really sure if its me or the site.

The Aussie eastern seaboard shold be in darkness now along with the US.
Check out this that the big feller put up
I have cut and pasted this from bigfreds posting
Signals are bounced off communication satellites.

Subject: Radio Interruptions-Solar Flares and CME

Please by no means consider this my declaration to join the tin foil hat club, but we should be prepared for interruptions/interference from solar flares or Coronal Mass Ejections in the next few hours/days. The strength of this event has not been seen since 2000. Information found here: http://www.swpc.noaa.gov/

The important measure from NOAA is the Radio Blackout Scale
http://www.swpc.noaa.gov/NOAAscales...dioBlackouts

Currently the projected effect is an R3 which according to the scale could result in interruption of service of many communication systems. This will begin as early as this evening and last for a few days. Another thing to remember is these affects "should" only affect systems during "sun light hours".

Thanks,

Yup, it's way slow for me from time to time, quite spotty. And actually it went down last night about this time also. I think they are either working on something or possibly have a small bug that needs killing :)

Very rarely, I get "Timed Out" messages. Doesn't happen often. I can live with that.

My computer is really an old rattletrap, partly built up from items acquired from discarded roadside shopping. A computer tech. nerd saw my rig recently. I asked him what it may be worth. He said:
"About ten bucks!"

Best ten bucks worth ever. So I am not about to bother about 'Timed Out' messages.

I had problems. It seemed like it was a cache/cookie issue I couldn't isolate. Closing and re-opening my browser solved the problem. You might try rebooting too. Those are always safe bets when things don't seem right.
