Happy to spread the word, ArrowsAndRays.
Many shows are not well advertised, and only the old timers know where they are!
I'l be at this one!

Ok vermontensium!

My dealer friends will bring some really nice coins to tempt me. One friend called me this week to make sure I was coming because he found a 1791 French coin he thinks I will want to add to my collection. If I say that I am broke, then they tell me to take the coins anyway and send them a check later. Makes it very hard to resist.

Nice show! Crowded, busy, really varied selection of merchandise offered. I was looking to upgrade a few of the type coins in my invisible 7070*. Bought an 1834 reeded edge quarter and an 1808 Half Cent, and 5 random-ish Morgans ($30 each). Could not find a 1996 W dime for the clad hole. Spent the rest of my budget at the McD's next door for lunch on the way home. Thanks for letting me know about this show just a half hour away from the yard work I should've been doing!

*it's invisible because I haven't found one yet to purchase!

I came home with a 1691 France Louis XVI quarter ecu of 8L's.
It is not drop dead gorgeous but it is hard to find quarter ecus in any condition from this time period.

The mint mark at the center of the reverse is faint. I am pretty sure it is a 'D' (Lyon).
At first glance it looks like it was struck on a new flan but it is actually a reformation piece.
The undertype shows through a bit on the reverse in "VINC" and under "REGN".

Passed on an 1642-A 1/4 ecu of Louis XIII in AU condition with a significant amount of luster remaining ($1000).
Passed on a exceptionally nice XF 1810 bust half ($325).
Passed on a pleasing Massachusetts Pine tree tuppence ($3500 and would require a lot of explaining when I got home).

Almost ran back to the show from the parking lot to get the 1810 bust half. It was really nice.

I would have bought the 1810 XF half but surely would have lost the footrace.

I may have another shot at it at the Westford show in April.
He's going to Baltimore though, and someone will likely snap it up at that show.
Maybe I should call him and ask him to hold it for me.
