Well, I messed up a CCF auction bid and missed a decimal point and I'm trying to correct it now. I think it's kind of obvious there was an error with a bid of $1789 for 2 Kennedy halfs. New computer. Touchy keys. So what now? Is this the end of my membership here? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

You're fired.

I don't seem to have access to mess with that. First, email the seller to let him know - I know him, and you'll find him an honorable man who will understand the mixup. Second, I'm going to move this thread into the Support forum, where Bobby should catch and correct the problem. We'll probably extend the auction a couple days to make up for lost bidding opportunity.

I'm guessing this was a 2-decimal-place error? I once had two different bidders manage that simultaneously on one of my ebay auctions, starting an automatic bidding war. I watched the bidding surpass $7000 for an MS63 Morgan, clutching my chest....

Yes, I have sent several messages and have promised to resign from the forum due to this very embarrassing error. I am waiting for a reply to resolve.

To err is human. To forgive is divine. For all of us, we just try to do the best we can. You made an error and I hope all will be forgiven. Why should you resign for being human?

Yes, 2 digits in an attempt to better learn how the system works. All I learned is I now need a hole to hide in. Thanks.

Deep breath everyone....

All fixed....

There will be no resignings or jumping offs of bridges today....

These types of mistakes are obvious and very easy to fix (by me only though) it's just that sometimes (although rarely) I sleep.
