Hi all...went to the bank today with my sack of coins which I went through on the weekend. Was putting them through the coin machine and got talking to one of the staff who know what I do with them. She happened to say they got a really 'odd' coin through the machine today...didn't know what it was. Then she proceeded to open the coin machine , pulled out a drawer and took out a 1937 King George VI Coronation Crown. I offered to buy it but she said she would ask the manager if they could do that. That led to the next manager , who ended up saying I could have it.
Well....you can imagine how quickly I put that one in my pocket and scooted home to find out about it.
You just never know where the next one is going to come from
Imperial Margerine used to run a silly commercial back in the late 60's...you'd be "crowned", after the first bite...well, you got "crowned" today, Larena...well done!
