1944-S Dime Mint Marks?

I forget which year the US Mint have the mint mark included with the die, but all mint marks before then was hand punched, so the position would varies.

As for the conditions they're from VG-F.

Mint Marks on all Mercury dimes appear to wander all over the place. Done at the Mint to confuse the enemy.

Great observation, but it is normal. You'll see it on all coins up until 1989 on the cent and nickel and 1990 on the rest of the coins. After that, the mintmark was on the hub.
