Here's a coin I'm interested in.

What would be a reasonable max bid?

I bought one (in about the same conditiion), out of a dealer's $10 junk box about a year ago. I my case, both the dealer and I knew it was going a bit cheaply. The $10 to $15 range at the time would have been about right.

It becomes quite difficult to get these in much better condition than the one pictured. This issue saw circulation over a great number of years. If you hold out to get one in significantly better condition, expect to pay a lot more.

My approach is a little different to most people. I will buy anything that is interesting if the price is right, condition versus price.

these were used for many years after they were issued - this one is in better condition than usual and I think will sell for more than maybe anticipated!
