Hi, I collect overdates and the first place I like to start is with documentation. The only Shilling overdates I see recorded for this period are 1848/6, 1850/46, 1854/1, and 1859/8 The coin you pictured is well-worn and the shape of the 8 could easily be due to wear/damage.
