Picked this up over the weekend for my set. Crisp and bright, with great centering and registry. Fairly common district. Hope this will grade 65/better at PMG, but it's always a crapshoot!

PS - In terms of purchasing power, $50 back then would buy $650 worth of goods at today's prices. Think about it!

IGE - Thanks. I've just about completed the set in 65PQ or better (assuming this comes back as such), but am stymied by the Dallas note, which is beyond my reach.

The Cleveland note above has a registry that is, to the naked eye, essentially perfect.

Very nice $50 FRBN Mr.frog....you know I love Fifties.

Over the last four years, I have seen BEP production reports showing $2 San Francisco Star notes. I have seen reports of series 2003A, 2009, and series 2013. I have not seen any of these elusive notes until now. This example is the first $2 San Francisco Star note I have seen ANYWHERE. If you have a $2 San Francisco Star note from series 2003A, 2009, or 2013 please show me a photo or scan.

I have searched everywhere, dealer websites, auctions, word of mouth to fellow collectors and this is the first. I expect to see more of these 2013 run #2 notes, but have almost given up on series 2003A, 2009 and run #1 of 2013.

If anyone HAS one, please show it to us.

Edited to add; There have been zero graded at PMG, and I do not have access to the PCGS Pop report, but I'm guessing it's the same there.

Wheat - Great notes. That Dallas $20 is far and away the toughest district in the series.

And the "Hackley Union NB of Muskegon" - DA block! Talk about a lot of notes!

Nice note - my favorite among the small size golds, just because of Grant's granite face. Somewhere I have one, must dig it out.

Interesting to note that, at the time, this would have purchased around $650 worth of goods at today's prices. If it had been converted into two similar condition double eagles and one eagle and then stored in a drawer, these would worth around $3,000 today!
