Interesting pair, Steve! If I had to choose only one... the radar.

I agree CK, the centering on that top note is sick

Spending most of my time on Facebook of late, I failed to post my recent purchase awhile back.

Upon receiving this note, I removed it from the PMG holder for some testing, and was able to confirm this was from the G-P Block - Run 8.

I altered the PMG holder and noted it had been removed from the holder.

Post-Your-New-Currency-Acquisitions!

I may post a separate thread on how this looks after testing.

Great stuff, guys. I like low SNs but have never gotten into the fancy ones for fear I wouldn't be able to stop!

@tech - nice radar deuce!

@B-C, cool Web error.

what kind of testing can help you determine the block? Alternate light source or something similar? It sounds as though your tests may have altered the note however, and an alternate light source wouldn't do that.

I collect Tampa Nationals, and have finally acquired a charter that has been very hard to find. Charter 7153 The American National Bank of Tampa. Last time I looked, there were 7 examples known. Chartered in 1904 and closed in 1919. This one is not very pretty, and the foreign substance seen on the back, can be felt through the holder. Looks like tar, but I've been told it may be wax. My only way of getting a close up photo is to photograph through a loop sitting on top of the note.

Not pretty at all, but it's stinkin' rare. Only 3 large in the census. This note makes 4 large.
