Love that Black Eagle ! I recently got this at face value from a member on a different forum. It was printed back in May of 2004 and still has that new currency smell. It also has GEM margins.   Edited by SteveInTampa

Great eagle note. The 1899 $1 silver cert was one of my early banknote purchases, so I was more conservative (cheap) and don't have such a lovely example.

Thank you all! I am really appreciative of the artistry of our older notes. There are quite a few other notes that have great artwork and design also that I hunt. Watched the Grant mini documentary again last week and appreciate even more Grant's military and political life. Wish the rioters did also.  |

Nice additions every. The double courtesy autographed note is cool. I also collect them. The 1935G $1 SCs were notorious for poor centering and I wouldn't consider @Pager's note an error, and within BEP tolerances. Mine also has poor centering.  |
