@ckrakowski, I think it is harder to quantify a "good deal" on modern notes. The "value" is often not much over face, but nobody out there is selling banknotes for face value. You are always going to have to pay a small premium unless you find someone willing to trade or just hook you up (always possible on CCF). As long as you got notes you like and didn't pay much of a premium, then it's all good IMHO.
@steve, for a second there, I thought your serial number was the one prior to @cashhound's notes. That would have been quite a coincidence.

Great Scott!! What a beauty. I'd put a note like that in my collection, but all the other notes would get upset. Like putting a Ferrari in a Hyundai lot. Surely you must have some butt ugly notes to post occasionally?

I'm sure Steve or someone else can comment better than I can on whether a 4 digit or 3 digit serial number starts to get into "premium" territory. I'm guessing the 3-digit bills are where they start to carry a small premium. However, all else aside, if I had to choose between otherwise identical notes, I'd choose the 4-digit serial number over a "regular" serial number since it does look a bit more interesting.
