Arrived in the mail today.

As taken with my cheap microscope camera. It looks a lot better in hand.

Queen's-Visit-To-Canada---Fine-Silver-$20-Coin-2012

The coin is entitled "Queen's Visit to Canada" and depicts the RCMP presenting a horse called Burmese to the Queen. The description with the coin states this happened in 1969 which is correct.

However, some other facts get in the way. The Queen did not visit Canada in 1969 and she accepted the horse when members of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police went to the UK to perform in the Royal Windsor Horse Show.

Maybe the coin should be called "Burmese moves to London?"

The Queen looks a little older on the coin than she actually did in 1969. I guess thats what too much frosting will do to you!
