Hi guys! My dad gave me these two coins to help him get an appraisal but I am not sure where to start. Anyone can help me out? Thanks, Ari

Not sure of the first one, but the second one appears to be a copy of a U.S. Indian Head cent.

By the looks of these I would say they are tokens or medallions of some sort and not coins

Copy meaning not genuine or intended for circulation. How many millimeters is the Indian? I agree, it looks like some kind of token. As for the second one, French? That's my guess but I am probably wrong :) Welcome to the CCF ari!

@ari The first coin is definitely a Replica Da Vinci Token 1452-1519. The second coin is a fantasy coin intended to fool some people. Probably silver colored. The Indian head design similar to the Indian cent of 1859 -1909 was not yet in use and I doubt had been even designed. The font is wrong for the time, "United States of America" only appears on one side of a real coin, rough features and texture, all scream non-mint.

I have to agree with everyone else, these coins are not authentic and not worth very much at all (maybe a dollar a piece from someone that just wanted them). They have no numismatic value at all being a copy/fantasy pieces. The reason the Indian head is a fantasy piece is because the US never released a dollar coin with this design, the other was an actual design of a real coin so it its a counterfeit coin or a copy

The second coin appears to the same as the last one pictured in Susana's pile of counterfeits from her ARE THESE COINS REAL thread.
