There are many large cent collectors in this forum. Your large cents are very nice and I hope you will continue to share with us. I don't grade coins but would guess they are in the VF range. Here's a reliable web site to help you in determining the grade. http://www.pcgs.com/photograde/

to CCF : ) Your coins do all look like they are real, not conterfeit or cleaned. I see you picked up a few half dollars too : P Those are my favorite. It's only a matter of time before a large cent collector comes in

The 1812 half dollar looks like it is the 1812 2 over 1 large 8 variety and if it actually is it is worth a lot of money, CDN greysheet price for a good is $1,300.00. It would be worth it if you can send it to PCGS to have it authenticated. Great buy! Ed ANA LM-3175

Thanks cipster for the link, easy to grade the coins with it. One is F-12, others are F-15 I VF-20 according to the grades from pcgs. First american coin I bought was fake, 1894CC Morgan dollar, so I'm always little suspicious with american coins here in Europe, although they are much cheaper here then in US, very few people collect those coins here.

Thanks Gyrene7483 for the info! I'll definitely check that half dollar, as I said I'm not familiar with US coins, but I'll find someone who is.

Hi mrgasa! to the Forum! These are nice, and authentic US coins (IMO)! Quote: The 1812 half dollar looks like it is the 1812 2 over 1 large 8 variety Unfortunately, I have to disagree with my Marine brother. Here's a picture of an 1812 Overton-101 (R5-) (12 over 1 Large 8) from Coinzip.com: Note the relationship of the I under the T. It doesn't correspond to the OP's coin. I'm sorry...

Thanks Moe145, I'll keep that half dollar anyway, I've paid it as a junk silver so it was good deal no matter what :)

Welcome to Coin Community, mrgasa. It's always a pleasure to welcome another International member.
I see no reason to believe your coins are not genuine, and well-bought - especially the Bust Half if purchased at junk price. It is Overton-110, a relatively common variety but still worth more than US$50 even roughly-treated as it has been.
The Large Cents you picture are generally in the VF range. The 1831 and 1835 are on the low end of that range, and the 1838 and 1855 are on the upper end. The 1848 looks to possibly see EF40, which might make it the most valuable coin you've shown here. All of them are eminently collectible and have decent value over "junk."
Nicely done.

Thanks SuperDave! Yes, couple of these cents could go as what we call in europe VF+ :) As you can find nice american coins here at the price of 'junk', it is same for European coins in US, have seen some nice discounts up to 50% on ebay for european coins that don't ship outside US.

Nice coins. I like the Large Cents. I've been coin collecting for over 60 years and been afraid to collect the Large Cents until lately due to the cost. Not only the cost but it appears there is no end to how many different types there are. The ones you have look better than the ones I purchased lately. I too say about VF grades.

Nice large cents. Photos are good enough to judge surfaces, but all the coins appear to be real and they have good eye appeal. The 49 looks the nicest, unfortunately it has that rim ding on the rev. I would agree with superdave on the sharpness grades.
