I have always had difficulty grading the obverse on all coins of George V1. I even have a gold British Five Pounds proof of 1937 to use a reference.
The hair detail on the profile of George V1 is the difficult area.
The problem lies in the fact that it is hard for me to differentiate between hair detail that is softly struck up coin with no wear, and hair detail that is more sharply defined, but with some wear.
These look suspiciously like improperly stored PLs. Enviro damage. Otherwise they appear to be pretty nice pieces. Do or get some conservation done on them.
