Available from Canada Post for $140.95:

-Buy this stunning Collector Set and commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Titanic voyage.
-This Collector Set includes highly sought-after items, including the following:
-Leather-bound embossed protective album
-Authentic White Star Line stock certificate in a protective mount
-All 5 stamps from the Titanic issue
-Two Royal Canadian Mint Titanic coins
-Special re-created Titanic postmark (cancel)
-Special postcard issue--available only with this Collectible Set.
-Issue date: April 5, 2012
Details of this Collector set
This Collector Set contains stunning philatelic products, including the 5 stamps issued to mark this anniversary and an enlargement of the stamp art from the International stamp.

It also contains 2 mint Titanic coins from the Royal Canadian Mint, an authentic stock certificate printed by American Banknote Company and issued by International Mercantile Marine (the shipping trust that owned the White Star Line and its Titanic), and a recreation of the mail cancel used onboard the Titanic.

Finally, the spotlight is cast on the story of the sad, but important role, Haligonians played in this tragedy.

Titanic: 100 Years
Even after 100 years, interest in the Titanic remains strong. This year's centennial events (including the re-release of James Cameron's Titanic movie in 3D) will likely bring together a whole new audience of enthusiasts.

This is a perfect opportunity to buy a unique Collector Set that commemorates this centennial event, and honours Canada's connection with the Titanic.

I didn't see any details or pictures on the CanadaPost site about which RCM Titanic coins the set includes -- where did you see the silver-plated $0.50 coin listed as part of the set? (I might have just missed it!)

If the set does include one 50-cent coin and one 25-cent coin (vs. two 25-cent coins) it makes you wonder how many 50-cent coins were allocated for these sets. I would hope that the coins in these sets wouldn't be in addition to the original published 15,000 mintage limit as per the RCM site, but anything is possible.

The PNC with the 25-cent coin had a stated limit of 10,000 -- makes me wonder even more about this new Collector Set.

The only thing of value to me in the set is the .50 cent coin. So $140 for it just helps it go up in value.

Are we sure it's the 50 cent? Not the $10 silver?

The Canada Post website doesn't say which coins are included.

I stumbled upon this while browsing through ebay (Item number: 130668242441) and the photo I posted came from this listing which shows the quarter and the 50 cent. The set was listed for $250. I then went to the Canada Post website.

Just went back to look at the ebay listing and it is "ended because the item is no longer available."

So, I don't have any certainty of which two coins are included - I was going by the ebay listing. I guess I'll find out when the one I ordered from Canada Post arrives in April.

Canada Post hast this set highlighted as "limited quantity" but doesn't list the number like they did with the PNC.

It`s not the $10.00 silver coin.

I have that one.The Titanic is facing a different direction and the iceberg has a different shape.
+ other differences that you can see.

I've been trying to find more information about this coin and stamp set, but no luck. Only the Canada Post website and this forum for now.
Assuming this set includes the 50-cent coin, I'm wondering if it includes everything just like the coin from the RCM website such as the case and COA?
Just my opinion, but $141 is alot of money, they should include all 3 coins instead.

If the set does include the 50-cent coin (still a big "If"), $141 could be a real bargain considering the 50-cent coin alone is currently being offered online for $200! It would be like getting the second coin, the stamps and everything else in the set for minus $60!

I guess we are all assuming that one of the coins would be the twenty-five cent piece which is probably the case but it would be great if it include the fifty cent and the $10 silver coin. I thought that the ebay seller may have had some inside information on what was included.

Do you guys remember the Montreal Canadiens coin and stamps set?

http://www.mint.ca/store/product/pr...d=prod700019

This one included 3 coins and 2 of the coins were different versions of the ones offered on the mint website. Maybe it will be the same with the second coin?

I guess I'll give a call to Canada Post tomorrow and ask what is included in the package.

For those that might be interested, that unpopular Habs set is available from the shopping channel website at issue price.
