Here's one from my collection, soon to be someone else's collection. It's a 1921-D VAM-1I, characterized by a broken chunk of die next to the N in UNITED. This VAM is assigned a rarity of R-7, but in the real world it's much more common than that. Vamworld calls Condition Census 2-MS65's and an MS63; the one pictured here is NGC MS64.

Remember, 1921's tone rather differently than previous Morgans; this one I would consider "normal" toning for a 1921-D. You were talking about emerald green? I got some of that.

1921's do tone much differently than earlier date Morgans, and are extremely difficult to find with nice color. Obviously there was something different about the planchets, perhaps the alloy, the planchet preparation, the annealing, etc. We also know the canvas bags were different in 1921 from the earlier Morgan years, because the (very rare) textile toners of 1921 have a finer pattern of more and smaller dots.

That's a very nice one, SuperDave, I really like it!
