I have about 50 or so Morgan dollars in high grades (64+) That I would like to be graded. I would like them to be graded by PCGS. Do they offer a 'package deal' if I send them all at once?

Most of the coins are over $300 in value, so I would have to choose the Regular Service Level, which is $30 for each coin times 50 coins. That's a lot of money.

If any of you know about something that I don't, please let me know. Thanks!

I would contact PCGS directly, or send them through an Authorized Dealer.

I would also recommend that you take clear images of the coins and catalog them (place numbers on the flips that correspond with the application) prior to submittal for insurance purposes...a little CYA!

I'm thinking of submitting a bunch of mint and proof sets still in OGP, should I call them ahead of time before submitting? I've never dealt with PCGS before, so not sure if I should call and try to get a deal or go to a dealer, not sure which way would be cheaper

If it helps according to the pcgs website they dont give bulk pricing until you send in 100 coins or more. You may be able to get some sort of deal if you call them though
Rest in Peace

, choob99!

What is your purpose with the proof sets? I can think of very few coins that would justify the cost.

I believe only the authorized dealers can get the bulk grading rates now.

That's what I thought, that only dealers could get the bulk rate. I know a few dealers that I could go through, I just want to know the rates so I can scrounge up the money. I heard something like, depending on the grade they give is how much you pay or something. But thanks for everyone's info.

last night I read a post in the VAM forum where PCGS has Bulk Submissions with a minumum of 100 coins that I believe is cheaper then sending to ANACS when you factor all the additional costs involved... You may want to go to that forum and check it out...

@cjtm92 - Also, before sending in that many at once -- I must ask -- have they all been double-checked for counterfeits?

I recently had a case locally where someone bought a stack of "high grade" Morgans and brought them into a local dealer to submit for grading. The whole number of them were fake. :-/
