How can anyone get away with saying this coin is from the set, when the Certified label doesn't say that?

Nope...not from the set...and if you try and "report item" nothing applies.

At least it is a BIN and overpriced at that

Why does this label even exist? What was NGC thinking?

This guy probably even thinks its from the set.

The label only says 25th anniversary, not set. The seller possibly just added the word set not knowing what it ment.
And if it sells and someone thinks one coin makes a set, the seller wins.

PCGS has the same label for the 2011's....and...it adds an ASE 2010 "25th Year of Issue" to add to the confusion

ANACS labels the 2011's as from the "set" but you can send in any 5 appropriate coins and they will say they are from the set (wink, wink)

The ebay page has changed and no longer says "SET" in the coin description. I love the PCGS "25th Year of Issue" label, it is in fact the 26th year of issue. It is the 25th anniversary but 26 annual coins have been minted (now 27 of course). I am still mad at PCGS for being such wimps about the (S) designation for the bullion coin in the anniversary sets. They really knee-jerked on that one. Even after the mint made it quite clear that all of the bullion coins in all of the sets were from San Francisco they wouldn't change their labels. You gotta love ANACS for their acceptance of any five proper coins getting the "set" labels, and in the end what does it really matter. The non-unique coins in the set aren't really worth any more than their non-set counterparts, it is the two unique coins that give the set its value. Also, so many true set coins have received 70 grades from all of the TPGs that "loading" a set and sending it to ANACS won't change populations in any measurable way.

Yep, $90 more for the label, even though if you'd crack them out, there is NO difference in the coins.
