I am new to this, but I feel like I see DD in the date and possibly the hair? I know the picture isn't to great, but any info would be nice.

That is what is called Machine Doubling, not a doubled die. Good eyes though! Welcome to the forum!

How can I tell the difference mach MD and DD? I am also going to be posting some pictures of what I think could be CAM and WAMs, but like I said, I'm still learning and need help figuring out what to look for a little better. I'm going through a bunch of pennys right now.

A good place to start would be coppercoins.com you can even do a search for your date/MM to see what it should look like as a doubled die(if one exists). Real hub doubling adds thickness to the devices that is unmistakeable once you have one in hand.Machine doubling is flat and shelf like.

Read these articles. They will help a lot.
http://www.pcicoin.com/DieDoubling.pdf
http://doubleddie.com/144822.html

And you'll notice links (on the second site, by Wexler) for Die Deterioration Doubling and Abrasion Doubling. Great sites to become familiar with.

You are quite welcome and I hope you find some really good ones. Finding cent varieties and errors is a ton of fun.

It'll be sad to hear, when the Mint says they are going to stop minting the cent. Don't know when yet, but I can see it happening in the next year or two. So best to start looking before they stop minting.
