I noticed that all of the ungraded 2012 Titanic privy coins at APMEX sold out a few days ago. Hope everyone grabbed what they wanted before they were gone. There are slabbed/graded coins still available, though.

traevin, the ungraded 2012 Titanic privy was $43 per coin; first price break kicked in at 25 coins.

My gut says the MS-69 2012 Titanic privy coins are a solid buy at $70. It's the shipping cost that make it less of a deal.

Has anyone seen the newly listed 2012 Dragon Privy with the same 25k mintage? Will it be as good as the titanic privy?

traevin- they are here for 42 and some change for check or 43 and some change for card but I am not sure on APMEX's shipping charges on small orders. http://www.apmex.com/Product/68123/...n_Privy.aspxALSO if anyone does know the average shipping cost on smaller orders and could post it I would be very appreciative :)

Wild, APMEX shipping prices $uck. 12.95 for two is what they got me for shipping on the dragons. Aside from ebay it looks like APMEX is it..

I just got the email from APMEX on the dragon privy as well.... I will say I have NEVER bought from them, just can't get past the shipping, and since I usually buy in such small nickel an dime increments compared to most here, it just does not add up or make sense to order from them, so they lose out on my business.... I do like that ever time silver drops in price, they drum up a nice .99 cent over spot sell via gold or silver, and are real persistent with their emails pushing their deals, just smart I figure to do so....

silver- I completely agree, I am sub probably $200 category on buying at a time, so 3-4 pieces of silver anything decently collectable at least. So APMEX would definitely be out of the question by what I am hearing. landude- it is pretty close then though by what it sounds for ebay and APMEX on this even with there overpriced shipping. Around $98 for 2 ounces at APMEX shipped (if adding correctly) and at mass buying $49.99 and ounce on ebay. So either way it is kind of a loser on price unless there will be a surreal premium on these.

Wow, another exclusive. APMEX is so into this these days. Let's see if APMEX is going to do any Olympics privy.

However, if I were a Canadian collector, I might not be so happy about the RCM making such arrangements. That shipping charge back to Canada makes a small purchase ludicrously expensive.

If you check APMEX prices for unopened rolls/boxes, you'll find they're higher than opened ones. Pretty clear indication that they're cherry-picking coins for slobbing.

YES... APMEX seems to be cherry-picking coins to send to PCGS. ALL their 2012 Silver Canadian Maple Leaf Titanic & Dragon Privy are SP69 PCGS from APMEX, APMEX must have made a deal with PCGS, if these are not SP69 then put them in a GEM slap! there are no SP68 or less Now I am afaid that the Raw Maple Leaf w/ Titanic I got will not grade SP69 because of cherry-picking these coins. On the future POP reports, all 2012 Silver Canadian Maple Leaf Titanic & Dragon Privy will be SP69 PCGS... so nothing special to increase value/price. Unlike the 1998 Canadian Maple Leaf Titanic Privy where ONLY 3 showup as SP69 PCGS! One ebay listing stated there are 2000+ PCGS 2012 Silver Canadian Maple Leaf Titanic Privy, not sure if all 2000+ count GEM & SP69 OR if there are 2000+ PCGS 'SP69' which will not help future price with so many! I like that they did a 2012 Silver Canadian Maple Leaf 'Titanic' but I am going to stay away from Dragon Privy...Don't see much future value with ALL at PCGS 'SP69' PLUS PCGS HAS NEVER GRADED ANY Silver Canadian Maple Leaf Privy a 'SP70' also don't think NGC has ever given a 70 on Privy mark coins too!
