Todays pickup was another call from my dealer. Someone brought in some prooflike sets. All were obtained at spot. Except the 1 gram gold it was $5 over 10 1963-1967 Canadian proof sets 7 Pre 1966 Dollars 1 Roll of BU 1963 Quarters 10 BU 1963 quarters and finally a 1 gram JM gold bar, plain back #1997 a bar I have been on the look for, for well ages. These bars were limited to 2500 before JM switched over to Pattern Backs

I, for one, never get tired of seeing what others buy. Gives me ideas. Thanks for posting.

I'm not one bit tired of posts like this. In fact, I contribute to them as often as I can! Also enjoy the pics that come in these posts. Most of them are really good and are encouraging me to get better at photographing coins. I have used both a digital camera and a scanner to get coin images to upload. Sometimes these work reasonably well but not at other times. It can be hard to tell why sometimes. Lighting seems to be critical and sunlight seems better than a flash. I need to make one of those photo boxes that allows GOOD close-up pics to be taken on a routine basis.

I keep my proof-sets in tack. I have about 100$FV in opened PL coins I've purchased over the years. So any time I can grab sets, in tack I buy them up. Closing in on 100 sealed silver sets

I love to see what people are picking up. Swrbxxx, you must have a pretty good business re-pare with the metals dealer to get such a good deal. Congratulations!

Rastatodd,
Its a funny story my bullion dealer about 4 years ago called my business wanting a air conditioner (I own a successful residential appliance service and sales business). I came on the weekend to do the job for him, and traded off part of the work for some coins and bullion. We got to talking and it turned out he owns a large apartment building in town. I am also a landlord of a few houses in the same neighborhood. I made a few suggestions to him and we eventually went halfs on 7 coin op washers and 7 coin op dryers for his building, to this day we still spilt the money 50/50 every month. We are also great friends. Basically I get first shot on many items, I also service all the appliances for his tenants in which I trade my labour off for bullion. So it is a win win

All the quarters are searched. About $2500 a month Between all 14 machines, usually pull a few dollars in silver coinage a month.
