Where Are The RCM / Royal Canadian Mint Mintmarks?

matchbox Pillar of the Community United States 1007 Posts	Posted 03/27/2012 8:31 pm Hello experts. Sorry if this topic has been discussed already, but if it has I haven't found it. There's a couple questions I have. I just received the 2011 Boreal Forest toonie. On the obverse the date is on the bottom of the coin and there is no RCM mintmark. Also, just received the delightful 6 coin set of 2011 wildlife parks quarters, and they don't have the RCM mintmark either. What's going on? Are these minted elsewhere? Just thought I would ask. DBM Pillar of the Community Canada 9866 Posts	Posted 03/27/2012 11:57 pm The log is NOT a mintmark,it is a logo or trademark.It does not appear on coins where the reverse design comes from an outside source,most likely for copyright or trademark reasons.
