This Spanish crown, dated 1837-CL, is a phony -

It has the wrong assayer for the year (should be CR), it doesn't 'ring', and Isabella does not look quite right.

It it 37.5mm in diameter and weighs 25.3gms. (The edge is inscribed, but only a few letters can be made out).

It's definitely a counterfeit, but what makes you think it's contemporary vs something out of China in the last 20 years?
