Got these two serial numbers from the bank today

BK 08 555955
BK 08 555954

Is nearly all the numbers being 5s (and/or consecutive numbers) of interest to anyone?

Up to you. Is it $100 that you can do without?
Some would call them almost solid & consecutive;
Others would call them interesting serials.
If it was 08555855 it would be of interest to me.
I'm a big collector of $50 & I've paid huge premiums for very special notes;
AA07 555555 (only a very small number of solid first prefixes exist)
BK98 888888 & BK98 888889
Some I've been lucky enough to find are:
DA03 123321 (last prefix ladder radar serial)
CG06 123456 (ladder serial)
To me the scarcity is something I like. If I was starting out & planning on keeping just a $50 set I'd hold onto them until something better comes along. It may command a $10 premium tops if in a crisp uncirculated condition. If not I would be letting them go. Go spend your $100.

Thanks for the reply Goatieman - I was hoping you would respond.
At the moment, I will stick with coins - there is enough for me to learn and stay interested with them.
However, I will keep an eye on the banknote serial numbers and post up about anything that I think might be of interest.
