Greetings, I would like some information about this english coin. As it can be seen in the photos, it's a One Florin / One tenth of a pound, from the year 1865. I would like to know something more about the history of this coin, what grade could it be, and last but not least, how much could it be worth? Any info will be appreciated.

This one is too worn to have much numismatic vale, silver value only. Gothic florins saw heavy circulation, and so the coins in this series in VF or better can be pricey.
If you can't afford a Gothic Crown, this is the coin to go for.
The Gothic Florin was first introduced in 1849, to be the first step towards the decimalisation of the pound.

The "godless" florin was introduced in 1849 and generally not well received. The Gothic florin ( your coin ) was introduced in 1851 according to Collectors Coins GB. It is .925 silver.
1865 - 1,580,044 minted. In fine condition ( lowest condition listed ) the book lists the value as £25 in 2012. I would say yours is less than fine.

I have no idea why the Brits chose the word 'florin' for their new One Tenth of a Pound silver coin in 1848, but I do know where they got the word from.
The name was taken from a popular medieval gold coin from Florence in Italy, which had a fleur de lis (flower of the field) on it, which was the badge of the City

a florin equalled two shillings, or 24-pence, and therefore one-tenth of a pound. In Australia, the florin was decimalized as 20-cents in 1966. In Britain, the florin became 10 New-Pence 1968 (or thereabouts).

I read somewhere that the name "florin" was chosen in an effort to add some dignity and status to the new coin.
