Hey, MJ, your 1963 Franklin half dollar has a silver content purity of 90%, it weighs around 12.5grams. At spot, the melt value currently is, $11.66. Since it's a Franklin, it should be worth a little bit more than the ordinary silver Kennedy halves. I'd price this at $13, it'll easily go for 13 if not more on ebay.

This is one of the commonest Franklin halves, the last year they were made.

Yours is in roughly VF condition. As you can see, there is very little retail price difference in any circulated grades:

Almost anyone collecting Franklins will already have this one, so it's unlikely you'd get more than melt value.

Still, $11+ isn't bad for a coin you just ran across.
