Is it worth grading coins and if so how much does it cost?

All depends on the coin. I've got 4 packed and heading to PCGS tomorrow as an economy submission at $18/ea. Even with round trip insured shipping the total cost will be $28/coin.

It's fun for me.

Your homework assignment is to peruse and read the following two web sites. There is a lot of good useful informaton that can help you estimate what your costs will be. I cannot select the approporiate grading tier for you without knowing exactally what coins you are considering sending in.

http://www.pcgs.com/

An alternative for you is to seek out and use a Dealer for one of these services if you only intend to send in a few coins for grading.
